02-12-2004 17:57Twenty years ago today, forty tons of lethal MIC gas leaked from a pesticide factory in Bhopal, India. The disaster has killed up to 20,000 people and left at least 150,000 chronically ill to date. Today, an American plant owned by Bayer still stores roughly four times the MIC that leaked at Bhopal. We will also be organising a series of rallies around the country. These may in some cases be co-ordinated with a symbolic march or motorcade coming down from Scotland as a focus for activity in the towns through which it passes.
WE NEED TO START ORGANISING NOW< WE NEED TO FILL THE RUN UP WITH ACTIONS , MAKE BUSH NOT WANT TO COME TO BRITAN.

IPA has stated that cases filed in the high courts of Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai for exclusive marketing rights by global majors such as Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer and Lilly for drugs used to treat cancer, diabetes, bacterial infections and impotency reflect this misuse
