Dear Radio Friend,
The latest Shortwave Report (December 3) is up at the website  http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.3MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (28:57)

This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, Radio Deutsche Welle, China Radio International, the Voice of Russia, Spanish National Radio, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From NETHERLANDS- In the US, many key figures in the so-called "intelligence agencies" have resigned. Ray MacGovern, former CIA analyst, discusses what is going on in the spy world.
From GERMANY- A US based human rights advocacy group has gone to Germany to file war crime charges against senior Bush administration officials.
From CHINA- International AIDS day was held this week and China announced a government funded research project on the use of traditional Chinese medicine on AIDS patients.
From RUSSIA- The widely disputed election in the Ukraine is very important to Russia and the US- it is reported that the US has spent 1 billion dollars in developing resistance to the Russian-favored candidate and the election itself.
From SPAIN- The recent election in Romania is disputed, like the ones in Ukraine, Georgia, and the US. Italy's Unions held huge demonstrations this week against economic policies and Prime Minister Berlusconi. Colombia's congress approved a bill allowing President Uribe to run for a second term.
From CUBA- A Portugese Nobel prize winner has warned that the next 4 years under Bush will be dangerous for Latin America. While the US boycotted an international conference on anti-personnel land mines, it has asked other countries to not sell anti-tank mines. Then a Viewpoint on the admission in Chile that the torture and murder of dissidents during the Pinochet era was a matter of government policy.

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via  http://www.kzyx.org
There are several other streams that work better-   http://www.freakradio.org  Freak Radio Santa Cruz now streams this program on Friday at 9:00am (PST)
Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)-  http://www.radiolavalamp.org
streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.
And the Partytown streams are great and informative-  http://www.partytown.com/radio
I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
