An opposition Baluch group said it believes a spate of rallies by Pakistanis living in New York that support the global objectives of Al Qaeda. The solution lies in balkanization of Pakistan and freeing Baluchistan. Picture shows Shazia Khalid, who was raped by a Pakistani army officer Captain Hammad. Pakistanis did nothing about getting her justice, but silenced her and sent her overseas

Straw Bale work on eco-building in St.Anns Part 30

Work has been continuing at EcoWorks with the Straw Bale building in Nottingham. The building, now being fully enclosed [short of the main doors], and all window frames fitted. This last weekend, sat 13- sun 14th saw further application of lime render to the outside of the building.

The Industrial Workers of the World have recognised the Showroom Cinema as a de-investor in its workers. Senior management have fired bar worker Chris Lockwood for his membership of a union. Boycott the Showroom Cinema and send protests to management until the reinstatement of Chris Lockwood. Don't support organisations that trample on the rights of workers.

Pakistanis in New York have been staging rallies in support of Aafia Siddiqi, an alleged member of the Al Qaeda. On Saturday, they staged a demonstration against U.S. raids on the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

RATB rally for the Cuban 5, marking ten years of unjust imprisonment

Saturday 13th September marked ten years since the unjust arrest and incarceration of the Cuban 5. Rock Around The Blockade (RATB) joined protesters around the world on this day, and showed it’s solidarity for these five brave men by holding a rally in Trafalgar Square in the heart of London.

Marriage thwarted as refugee is arrested. Friends fear for her life.

Annociate Nimpagaritse was arrested on Friday and removed to Dungavel Detention Centre in South Lanarkshire. Her friends fear that she will soon be deported to Burundi for a second time, where her life will be in great danger. She had just been given permission by the Home Office to marry her fiancee, who is also from Burundi but is working in Coventry and has permission to stay here.
