During their UK speaking tour of Birmingham, MOVE Minister of Communication Ramona Africa and long term MOVE supporter Fred Riley were interviewed by Sammi as part of his 'Face the Nation' show on Unity FM. Unity FM is a Muslim community radio station that was keen to interview MOVE, whereas the mainstream media chose to ignore the plight of the MOVE 9 and death-row journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Curiouser and Curiouser: St Athan Military Academy and the Future of Wales

Around 40 activists from across Wales met on Sat. 7 July at the Temple of Peace in Cardiff to plan a campaign against the building of a new military academy at St Athan. The vast, privately-owned training school will be run by a consortium ‘Metrix’, with partners including arms manufacturers Raytheon and the Open University. Plans for the academy have been welcomed by all the major political parties in Wales, and by Wales TUC.

No Border Camp Benefit
From 19th to 24th September 07 we will gather at Gatwick Airport for the first No Border Camp in the UK. This camp will be a chance to work together to try and stop the building of a new detention centre, and to gather ideas for how to build up the fight against the system of migration controls.

On Saturday July 21st we organise a day of workshops and a benefit gig in Chat's Palace, Hackney.
