DSEi protesters got it all wrong

It appears that the hundreds of protestors who took action against DSEi at the Excel centre in London's Docklands have got it all wrong. The DSEi show was not an arms fair at all. According to the local daily paper, The Newham recorder, Spearhead, the organisers of the event, say that this was an "open event that can promote cost effectiveness".

Livingstone should have been asked for help with anti-Dsei protests

Ken Livingstone the mayor of London said he was dead against the arms fair at Excel so why wasn't he approached to help out with organising the protests against it. He could have been asked to help fund the protests with council money and advertise the protests on the Tottally London website.

The cops behaved outrageously outside the park off the A13 at the RTS party on Wednesday (v. good footage at posting entitled 'police violence at park gates' posted 11/09/03) and I intend to kick up as much fuss as I can about it - we can't let 'em get away with treating us like this.
