What shall we do today? Barclays demos! We decided to meet at Goldman Sachs on Fleet Street today for a couple of Barclays demos, because the Goldman Sach's security guards are the tetchiest people in the world. They were scurrying around looking anxious that a demonstration might just kick off. We had no intention of demonstrating at Goldman Sachs today, but they are a scummy company and we like the idea of regularly meeting outside their office just to get their pulses racing. This day was, yet again, all about Barclays. Not only are Barclays the biggest shareholder in HLS with $8m of shares, but they are a huge investor in NYSE (HLS share traders) as well.

The Italian Government reacted angrily at a report in Famiglia Cristiana, a Catholic magazine that Fascism was returning under another guise. The Vatican also distanced itself from the report. Antonio Sciortino, Director of the Paulist weekly said he was surprised at the reactions because every citizen should be allowed to assess what the government does “In a normal country” he added “This is part of the free exchange of opinions”

SHAC-UK Prisoner Dan Amos - August Update

Dan has had the news that hopefully in 5 weeks he will be moved to HMP Winchester for the start of the trial (which is not essential that he goes to). He will then stay at HMP Winchester for the remainder of his prison sentence, which is brilliant considering HMP Exeter is at least 150 miles from any of his friends and family.

As fans of aunty Beeb will have noticed we have just moved one step closer to a proper geopolitical crises this afternoon with agreement being reached by Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, and US Under-Secretary of State John Rood to station 10 missile interceptors in the eastern European state.

This surprise announcement came after what had been described as a "further round of Polish-US talks will take place in Warsaw regarding the placing of elements of the US anti-missile defence system in Poland."
