Justice for Cleaners week of action starts.

Making a racket.
Yesterday Justice for Cleaners started a week of action in the city of London. All this week they will be making a truly horrendous racket outside various corporations who should know better than to exploit vulnerable immigrants. If you feel like heading to the financial capital of Europe to let off some steam then they would love to see you.

Greenpeace claims success on bottom trawling but what about enforcement?

According to Greenpeace Ocean's campaign, The Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO), whose members include Canada, the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Russia and the US, has announced plans to regulate the activities of its fleets in line with a 2006 United Nations resolution. The resolution calls for urgent action to protect deep-sea corals and other vulnerable ecosystems from the impacts of bottom trawling on the high seas. The UN originally set a deadline for all regional fisheries treaty organizations to fully implement its plans by December 2008.

Another Anti-Scientology Protest in Birmingham

Last Saturday (May 10th) tens of Anonymous activists gathered once again at the offices of the 'Church' of Scientology in Birmingham city centre to protest against the cult and its dangerous practices and policies. Wearing "V for Vendetta" masks and other costumes, they then spilled onto New Street to the bemusement of happy Saturday shoppers.
