Such is the nature of his backtrack that American white supremacist organisation "Pioneer Little Europe" have promised to attend, PLE friends with the KKK. Those in the British far right with any semblance of a brain cell have serious cause for concern. The call for "unity" has to be too good to be true for self-proclaimed neo-Nazis, when Tommy has a track record of shopping far right radicals to the police. Still, many full-on fascists are likely to stroll willingly head first into the Pegida mousetrap, eagerly swallowing the bait like the idiots they are.

These talks are a general introduction to social and biological anthropology, ranging over fields as diverse as hunter-gatherer studies, mythology, primatology, archaeology and archaeoastronomy. Radical Anthropology brings indigenous rights activists, environmentalists, feminists and others striving for a better world together with people of all ages who just want to learn about anthropology. There is always time for questions and discussion after each talk and there are good local pubs for those wishing to socialise into the evening.

The overall picture is not so much the cutting of a bundle of flowers out of a reservoir of abundance, but the cutting of a lawn – you can only pluck those daisies before austerity comes through. It is the opposite of healing, where change is expected to take place whose worth is not entirely consumed by the ensuing side-effects or these of the compensations thereof. Austerity, as the term is being used outside the Himalayas, puts shake-up first and the elimination of side-effects later.

Cambridge March for Affordable Housing (14/11/2015)

On Saturday November 14th 2015 a march took place in Cambridge that was very much a sign of the times.

It was a march for affordable housing, in an era of all-time-high property prices and proposed Tory policies to force local authorities and housing associations to sell off at least 25% of their existing stock, despite there being enormous demand for new social housing (approximately 2,500 people in the Cambridge area alone are on the Council's waiting list).
