We won't pay for their crisis! demo - Less than 1 week away, organsie, mobilise!

Next Saturday (22/11/08) marks the start of a campaign in Bath going under the heading 'we wont pay for their crisis!', demanding no more bank bailouts, and working towards initiating community based solutions to the financial crisis.
People will be meeting at 12.30pm at Abbey Courtyard for a demo taking in the sights of some of Baths banks and seats of local government.

We are hoping for a big turnout for this one to send out a strong political messagen and kickstart a campaign genuinley capable of making changes.

We are hoping for as much support as possible from Bath and the South West, so please try and get yerself down for the demo!

The national demonstration of Italian faculties and universities in mobilization filled the streets today in Rome. The size of the demonstration was impressive. It’s impossible to say how many people there were. The newspapers quote some organizers saying “more than 200.000″ which might be true.

Mill Road Tesco refused again

Tesco have LOST their first appeal (and the associated non-determination appeal) for the Mill Road site in Cambridge.

The Inspector concluded:

“I find that both of the realistically available servicing options would pose unacceptable risks to highway safety, which would not be outweighed by benefits or the fallback position. I therefore conclude that both appeals should be dismissed.”

Constant, a long standing member of Leicester Civil Rights Movement (LCRM) was detained by the Border and Immigration Authority on Tuesday 11th November 2008 and currently detained in Oakington Immigration Removal Centre, due to be forcibly removed from the UK this evening Friday 14th November on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET701 to Addis Ababa from Heathrow at 21:00 hrs and then ET841 to Brazzaville.
