Piquetera Puppet Show Rolls into Leeds

'Que se vayan todos!' (All of you out!) – just one of the memorable lines of the Piquetera Puppet Show performed by the touring Argentina Autonomist Project at the Adelphi pub in downtown Leeds last night in front of around 50 people. It was a very enjoyable and inspiring evening of art, film and discussion.

A group by the name of "Bush's Backyard Surprise" passed out flyers at an Independence Day Celebration in Houston. The flyers provided information about the Patriot Acts. The Bush Administration ran the first of the Patriot Acts through Congress soon after September 11, 2001. The Patriot Acts severely limit our civil rights and jeopardize the safety and privacy of immigrants. This is second of many anti-bush events.

Chief Rabbi: Britain is 'besieged'

The Chief Rabbi has warned that Britain is being "besieged" by asylum seekers and has advocated regional refugee camps outside Britain in an attempt to deal with the problem.

In an interview with The Telegraph Dr Jonathan Sacks, the spiritual leader of 280,000 British Jews, said that new policies were needed.

Dr Sacks himself admitted that were it not for Britain's willingness to accept Jewish refugees in the past, "almost no Jew in Britain would be alive today".

The international community does nothing to enforce Fourth Geneva Convention and so the confiscations go on, slowly changing the landscape and dispossessing the Palestinians; confining their existence to smaller parcels of land while the colony-settlements expand. One more way for the Israelis to pressure the Palestinians to move away. It is wrong and wrongful and does nothing to perpetuate peace.
