Camden Councillor Roger robinson has written a heartfelt letter on behalf of the people in his ward in Somers Town, Camden London who will be affected by plans to build the World's largest ever virus containment facility and animal testing lab which could contain anthrax and Bird Flu on a Camden Council house estate. Local residents and businesses are opposed the plans.

Cardiff- Police station attacked in solidarity with greek rioters.

In the early hours of this morning (12/12/08) individuals visited a police station in the Canton area of Cardiff. Slogans in support of the Greek rioters, in memory of Alexandros and anti police were painted on the front of the building. Two Police vans outside the station were also painted and covered in paint stripper.

Cops shooting again towards demonstrators
On Saturday December the 6th, the Greek police committed a cold blooded murder of Alexandros Grigoropoulos, a 15 year-old boy, in the streets of Athens. Since then, and despite the states attempt to quieten the mood, thousands have taken to the streets and hundreds of police stations, banks and government buildings have been burnt down across the country. High School and university students have been leading demonstrations, clashing with the police whilst occupying campuses to organise themselves. All around Greece, in big cities and small towns, social unrest is mounting and tension with the state authorities has reawaken social consciousness.

BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA, 10 December 2008 – Citing US war, human rights abuses, rapacious state capitalism and hypocrisy, Bratislava resident Michael Gogulski announced today that he has renounced his United States citizenship and become a stateless person as a means of “political divorce”.

Possible good news for those stuck in 'Legacy backlog' and cannot work

Please be clear the decision in 'Dawit Tekle v SSHD' though it holds that a blanket denial of the right to work for those caught in the 'Legacy Backlog' is 'Unlawful'', does not give permission to work. The government could comply with the High Court directive but change the policy to get round the objections of the court and continue a blanket ban.
