In practice it is no different to many other Councils that fail to act in the best interests of the local community but are quick to provide development and get rich quick opportunities for property developers.

About 50 people gathered together in the centre of Birmingham to mark the E.S.F. day of action in support of refugees and migrants. This protest was organised in a matter of weeks after Birminghams A.R.C. (Anti-Racist Campaign) conference in support of migrant worker’s rights and forging links with the trade union movement.

Banner Theatre celebrates thirty challenging years!

Banner Theatre one of the few remaining touring companies specialising in community and political theatre is celebrating its thirtieth birthday this spring. The party kicks off with a two-day event at the University of Central England and Birmingham Library Theatre, and will also be marked by the publication of a songbook, and the launch of a CD which includes songs from the new show, Wild Geese, which is set to open in April.
