Kelly Minio-Paluello arrested for filming peaceful demonstration near Ramallah

Journalist and community activist Kelly Minio-Paluello (23) was arrested brutally by Israeli Border Policemen while filming a peaceful demonstration on Tuesday outside Ramallah, Occupied Palestinian Territories. She is currently being held in Hadera Detention Centre awaiting deportation. Kelly has visited Cambridge several times. Her husband, Cambridge activist Mika Minio-Paluello, remains in Palestine.

Havoc was created at a British company HQ yesterday when 4 anti-war activists occupied the offices of Windrush Communications Ltd. The protestors asked to see the director of the company and when this was refused, occupied the space outside the offices.

BAe blockaded in Edinburgh

Glasgow Anti War Action struck for the second day in a row yesterday when they blockaded BAe System's factory in Edinburgh. This is the facility at which they make components for cluster bombs. On Monday, the same network were involved in shutting down Weir Pumps for pillaging Iraq, and because of their connections with Halliburton.

Six Activists from London and Brighton were on trial this week for obstructing the access road into EDO/MBM Technology, a factory producing bomb-release mechanisms and tank diagnostic systems for the US/UK and Lockheed Martin. Protesters planned to use the case as a platform to allow victims of attacks using similar equipment in Iraq and Palestine to give evidence in court, Brighton magistrates had other ideas

This morning, 6 activists from 'Glasgow anti-war action' blockaded Weir Pumps Ltd in Glasgow who have been profiting from the war in Iraq. The company who are a supplier to Halliburton are part of a new campaign of direct action with the aim of causing the company sufficient disruption and economic damage, that they stop supplying components to Halliburton.
