Libya: Heaviest blitz yet brings terror to Tripoli

25-05-2011 11:30

NATO Terror in Libya
NATO has launched its most intense bombardment yet against Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi's stronghold of Tripoli with a series of airstrikes causing explosions in the Libyan capital.
The international community has stepped up raids and diplomatic efforts against the regime in a bid to break a virtual stalemate, with the rebels in the east and Col Gaddafi maintaining his hold on most of the west. The Nato attacks came in rapid succession within a half-hour time span, setting off more than 20 explosions and sending up plumes of acrid-smelling smoke from an area around Col Gaddafi's sprawling Bab al-Aziziya compound in central Tripoli.

Schillings Idiocy Goes Global
A couple of weeks ago, I posted in genuine admiration of Ryan Giggs  http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2011/04/ryan-giggs/#comments . Now Schillings have set out to destory his reputation, and rook him of several hundred thousand pounds at the same time. Guido has a good graph:  http://order-order.com/2011/05/20/schillings-idiocy-goes-global/

America's appalling human rights record

21-05-2011 10:47

Each year, the US State Department publishes human rights reports for over 190 countries. Its April 8-released 2010 China assessment can be accessed through the following link:

Unsparing in its harshness, it calls China "an authoritarian state in which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) constitutionally is the paramount authority,"

Indeed, China's no model human rights champion. However, America's record is far worse at home and abroad, yet self-criticism is absent. Moreover, rarely do major media reports discuss abuses. Instead they regurgitate managed news, suppressing full and accurate disclosure of Washington's most deplorable human and civil rights record at home and abroad.

On April 10, two days after the State Department's report, China's Information Office of the State Council published its own comprehensive report titled, "The Human Rights Record of the United States in 2010,"

In its report, the US State Department charges were mostly without corroboration. In contrast, China, under six major headings, used data from the US Justice Department (DOJ), FBI, other US agencies, state ones, and think tanks, as well as international and US media reports. They reveal a far different America than official Washington and managed major media reports, concealing dark side truths important to reveal.

Dont Allow Romanian State to make a Hero of its Revolution Homeless

19-05-2011 21:13

I am writing this in support of my friend Ion Matache.
Ion is the holder of the “Diploma of Honour in the Revolution of December 1989” yet the Romanian state has left him almost destitute and now (under Law 112?) Ion’s simple home is now to be taken from him, to be "returned" to the decendants of the pre war owners, who plan to demolish it. Please Do not allow this to happen!

John Bowden – Scottish Prison Service Have Learned Nothing From The Stillman Aff

19-05-2011 14:32

A few years ago the Scottish Prison Service used jail psychologist Matt Stillman to smear the Anarchist Black Cross as a “terrorist organisation” and use John Bowden’s contact with the ABC as an excuse for his continued detention. Subsequently, both Stillman and his lies were completely discredited. The Scottish Prison Service and the compliant psychologists they use as part of a package of prison repression have, it seems, learned very little from the affair, as John Bowden relates from Edinburgh Prison.

New Zealanders must ‘speak out’ about omitted human rights or be reduced to mere

19-05-2011 06:43

NZ has been taken over by a 'bicultural' tribal elite. The human rights omissions are killing people and leaving many with lives barely worth living. They have an anti-human rights philosophy, 'discriminatory collectivism, which aims to destroy individual and collective potential and any bottom-up challenge yet human rights regards the individual as a person (and spiritually, I believe, God regards the individual has having a 'name').

Increased security in detention centres

16-05-2011 05:49

A new phone system run by a private company will replace personal mobile phones in immigration detention centres, according to Corporate Watch, a group which investigates corporate activities.

As a result, detainees will not be able to call free numbers and will have to pay higher rates in order to call their families and lawyers. Furthermore, the new system, which will be connected to a central operating system, will allow immigration authorities and the centre’s prison management to record and monitor all conversations, as well as ending calls.
