Cancer victim deported to Ghana dies

Ama Sumani, the Ghanaian woman who was deported despite undergoing treatment for terminal cancer, has died, friends said last night. The 39-year-old mother of two died on Wednesday afternoon in Korle Bu Hospital in Accra, Ghana. Friends had told her recently that £70,000 had been raised to get her the treatment and drugs that she so desperately needed.The Parade of Shame

And it looks like the main Jewish bodies in the UK have decided to work hand-in-hand, taking their pride in that history to a new level this year by organising the “Salute to Israel” parade in London next June.

When President Bush initiated war against Iraq, one of the main reasons given in his letter of transmittal to Congress of March 18 2003 was that Iraq was in defiance of UN Resolutions regarding weapons of mass destruction. Of course, in hindsight, we know Saddam was actually in compliance with UN Resolutions, but the point is that if the United States justifies its foreign policy on the basis of enforcement of United Nations policy, then clearly, Israel should be called to account for its actions.
