BBC reporter Fiona Trott said that Pegida UK demonstrators in Newcastle today are (quote) "NHS workers, they are factory workers, they are self-employed people", conveniently ignoring flags of the English Defence League and of the blatantly Nazi group the National Front at the Pegida demo.

The Guardian website is running a piece by a female name that calls for more of the same - ‘support’.
It is a very odd plea as it leaves out the local Tower Hamlets Council from any
expectation that it must discharge the duty to provide support to the local population with the £Billion plus budget that the public already allows the Council to claim from a variety of established sources

Republican Governor and "potential presidential candidate" Bobby Jindal is due to give a 'lecture' on Monday at the House of Commons in which USA media reports that he will "reiterate the disputed claim that Muslim immigrants have created "no-go zones" in Europe".

Such statements take us back to Enoch Powell politics and are naive and ill-judged prejudice at best, and deliberately reactionary, divisive and inflammatory at worst.

The Facebook pages for AFA Ireland, North-East Anti-Fascists, London Anti-Fascists and possibly other groups linked to the Anti-Fascist Network, are advertising a "Cash for Anti-Fash" appeal. The advert posted on said Anti-Fascist Facebook pages uses the phrase "No Parmesan!", which is well-known as a joke Nazis use to take the piss out of the slogan "No Pasaran".
