Rahim began a hunger strike, sewing his lips since 01-Aug-2012 as a result of rejection of his asylum case. He is calling for help, support and solidarity from his tent in Rosebury Avenue, opposite Amnesty International, London WC1X 0DW.

Junior England Chess Player Yousuf, returned home to England on Friday 10th August from Austria. He was visibly injured and traumatised following an alleged 'racist' attack upon him by Brigitte Weaver. As a result of events which led to Yousuf's injuries, his father Sohale declares the English Chess Federation institutionally racist.

Child Chess Player for England Attacked at EU Championship

13 year old Yousuf currently representing England at the European Union Youth Championships in Austria was attacked today during a chess tournament by an Adult female, Brigitte Weaver, a member of the England chess delegation.

Sean Rigg - inquest verdict

Summary: Schizophrenic but physically healthy black man died in custody at Brixton police station after excessive police restraint. Care trust failed to offer Rigg psychiatric evaluation, instead placing him in a hostel. Police failed to reply to emergency calls for 3 hours after Rigg started threatening staff at his hostel, then took him to a holding cell instead of hospital. Inquest jury - level of force "unsuitable". Rigg's family - "Sean died as a result of the wilful neglect of those who were meant to care for him". IPCC "inadequate and obstructive". Yet another black death in police custody without an officer being prosecuted.

Justice for Noureddin campaign continues in Düsseldorf, Germany

The campaign and calls for justice, and an independent enquiry, after the death of popular refugee Noureddin Mohammed, originally from Darfur, which began outside the 'Hotel de Police' in Calais by local sans-papiers and other No Borders activists, continued yesterday after two actions in the German city of Düsseldorf during the No Borders camp in the nearby city of Köln. (This camp is also being supported by actions and a solidarity camp for a hunger-strike by refugees in the regional capital, Düsseldorf.)

Jimmy Mubenga - no charges

G4S employees in charge of Jimmy Mubenga on the flight when he collapsed and died will not face any charges despite counsel finding that his treatment constitued a "breach of duty". Instead the case will go to a dead-end inquest, like the inquest into the Iraq War that is still being dragged out.
