Dave now faces 10 charges which could lead to decades of jail time. Dave grew up in the UK and was involved in many project in Plymouth, Devon including organising benefit gigs and Plymouth Environment Center.

Sunday more people began to gather in Parliament Square, and Monday the numbers had swelled and from 9.30 am people began blocking again the roads around Parliament, the only way for them to get attention to the genocide in their homeland and the UK politicians to intervene with the UN.
It is feared that the Sri Lankan government are determined to kill all of the civilians trapped in the so- called ' safe zone' in the Vanni region by the end of the month, more than 150.000 people are living under bombardments and have no way to get out and no access to food or medication, as the Sri Lankan army has sealed off the zone. The few who have managed to escape to government controlled areas have been put in concentration camps by the SLA.

A five-hour blockade of Colnbrook detention centre, near Heathrow airport, has ended with six protesters being arrested for 'obstructing the highway'. The six activists from the Stop Deportation Network had encased their arms in glass and plastic tubes and concrete blocks, blocking the entrance to Colnbrook and Harmondsworth detention centres, in an attempt to stop the forcible mass deportation of 45 Iraqi refugees on a specially chartered flight to Iraqi Kurdistan.May Day Solidarity Conference in Barnsley - a report

Anti-deportation campaigners encase themselves in concrete and glass to stop mass deportation flight to IraqCampaigners from the Stop Deportation Network and the International Federation of Iraqi Refugees are blockading Colnbrook detention centre, near Heathrow airport, to stop 45 Iraqi refugees being forcibly deported to Iraqi Kurdistan on a specially chartered flight. Six protesters have encased their arms in glass and plastic tubes and concrete blocks, blocking the entrance to Colnbrook and Harmondsworth detention centres. The coaches to carry deportees to the airport have not been able to leave.
