Community Protection Officers (Warden). These are Nottingham City Council employees. Jointly funded by Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire Police. They have now replaced City Centre Wardens, Street Wardens, & Neighbourhood Wardens. They are under the direction of the Services Director for Community Safety, & Community Neighbourhood Protection Service of Nottingham City Council.

Perhaps 4000 of us making our way from Hatton Cross to the doomed village of Sipson, where a few under 3000 made a giant human 'NO' on the grass of the recreation ground and then some of us listened to speeches. More of a party than a demo, this event attracted thousands of people wanting to stick two fingers up at Boris Johnson's new policy of zero alcohol on the tube.
It got out of hand at the end, a big flock of police turned up, and things got nasty.

Below is the press release distributed by the Friends of Amdani Juma following his detention at Loughborough reporting centre and news that he is to be deported on Wednesday 4th June on Kenya Airways flight KQ101 (Terminal 4, Heathrow). In support, there was a well attended demonstration on Saturday 31st May, to highlight his case.
