Justice for Djindy, Matt & the Wilson family.

On Wed 1st April a judgement was made ordering Matt Wilson to return his son, Djindra, to his mother. Instead of doing so, he disappeared.
Since then his family have been harrassed and threatened because they do not know where he has gone.

Demo Against the Grand National and other AR activities

On Saturday 4th April Nottingham Animal Rights had a busy day demonstrating against the grand national (complete with police presence), doing a free vegan food givaway at the sumac centre and hosting people's kitchen - cooking a three course meal for £3 - (also at sumac).

For those who couldn't make the 'Days of Action' in Strasbourg, Protestors gathered in the Market Square on Saturday 4th April from 12:30 to 13:30. They were demonstrating in opposition to NATO. It was the 60th anniversary of the organisations existence. This was Nottingham's contribution to the europe-wide protests and actions, to express their concerns at it's latest military adventures.

The Ibis Hotel loses its star rating.
After their poignant visit to the border the Black Block then went a couple of street into town and set fire to a bank. Unfortunately for the Ibis hotel chain one of their outlets was situated above the bank in question.

After clearing the obstacles at the Vaubaun bridge activists headed for the border with Germany. 5,000 protesters were trapped on the other side by the authorities despite this being a Europe without borders.

Putting Profit First – a Banking Perspective of Sat.28th March 2009

A small minority of bankers clearly intent on disruption and provoking others into radical action were spotted parading their placards around central London on the Put People First demo on Sat. 28th March 2009 . The eight executives were there to add a dose of market rationality to this otherwise wide-eyed collective of 40,000 dreamers demanding Jobs, Justice and Climate. The bankers' message was clear: Leave it to the Market.

Strasbourg. Vaubaun bridge action.

A clown builds an ingenious CRS trap.
Despite agreeing a route for the march in advance the cops decided to block the Vaubaun bridge chucking tear gas and grenades at anyone who approached their line.

Most marchers waited patiently for the cops to leave. Some threw the gas back and generally harassed the Police until the moment they withdrew.

These pics were shot a few days ago.

The workers at Visteon are a truly courageous bunch of people whom have never done anything like this before so they deserve EVERYONES support. They were sacked at six minutes notice. The night shift were sacked by phone. Please raise money or take them some food and drink.

Witnesseses of Ian Tomlinson's brutal murder come forward

An article in today's Observer newspaper states that the "police assaulted bystander who died in G20 protests". Three independent witnesses have come forward with corroborative statements telling how he was violently assaulted.
