Protest held at AHAVA, sellers of west bank settlement mud

Around twenty people turned out on a very cold Saturday in Covent Garden, London, to protest against Israeli cosmetics company AHAVA and its use of an illegal west bank settlement to produce cosmetics. There were also some people there to demonstrate in favour of AHAVA and apparently against any criticism of Israel.

Black Cat Occupied social centre evicted and Reoccupied!

Yesterday saw the eviction of the Black Cat Centre, a squatted social centre that for 3 months became a genuinley well used and valued community resource, involving hundreds of local people in various capacities. The eviction was met with a 17 strong solidarity demo, but no resistance from the inside as the eviction came slightly earlier than expected.

BMI lease plane to UK/France for joint 'Charter flight' to Afghanistan

On Tuesday 15th December, a BMI plane left the UK with a number of Afghans who had been refused asylum in the UK. It stopped at Charles de Gaulle (Roissy/CDG) in France, where Afghans refused asylum in France, were boarded, the flight then departed, destination for the Afghans on board, Kabul.

Climate Activists Invade Meeting of Senior Politicians in Copenhagen

Seventeen climate activists invaded an exclusive meeting between business and government ministers at a Copenhagen hotel this morning. The meeting, called the "Climate Leaders Summit" was organised by The Climate Group, an international lobby group who represent business interests in tackling climate change.
