Paul Watson announces aggressive campaign to clear Mediterranean of illegal fisheries

Captain Paul Watson, founder and leader of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has announced he will launch an aggressive campaign to clear the Mediterranean Sea of illegal fishing operations. Speaking at an event to mark World Ocean Day, at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Paul made his intentions clear. "There are more than 600 illegal fishing vessels in the Mediterranean Sea. If need be, we'll sink them all."

BNP leaders press conference stopped by anti-fascists - pics

BNP leader Nick Griffin was forced to abandon a press conference outside of Parliament today after anti fascist demonstrators intervened. Griffin was less than two minutes into the press conference when a group of over 50 protesters appeared. He was pelted with eggs before being bundled into a car by BNP security.

300 people attend the final plenary of the conference
Around 300 people attended the conference from all across the country to discuss the anarchist movement and take a self-critical look at our own marginalisation. What happened was a collective re-awakening and sense of purpose. There seemed to be a recognition that anarchist ideas can become a popular and vibrant force in society and if we are to move forward we need to change and develop ourselves, our attitudes and our way of doing things.

[removed] is a national of Somalia and was resident in Hillingdon, Uxbridge until August 2008, after which she was moved to NASS Section 4 accommodation in Ilford, East London. It was a real struggle to keep her in London and close to her community, but we achieved it because she is in therapy at the Helen Bamber Foundation for PTSD.
