Forum in support of Political Prisoners took place in Oaxaca

From the 14 to the 16 of March a Forum to give a voice to political prisoners and spread awareness throughout the country took place in the city of Oaxaca.
During this forum we listened to the denunciations and testimonies of cases such as Atenco, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco where the injustice and the violence of the State manifest, whilst unjustly holding dozens of compañer@s prisoner.

Police Censorship of Smash Edo film goes Nationwide

Police have intervened across the country to censor 'On the Verge' an independent documentary about a campaign to shut down a Brighton weapons manufacturer. So far establishments in Southampton, Chichester and Bath and Oxford as well as Brighton have come under police pressure to cancel film showings. In Brighton police intervened to prevent a showing at the Duke of York's Cinema.

A fun day was had by all FITwatchers on the otherwise boring STW demo on Saturday 15th March (although less so for the ones who got nicked). The FIT seemed more sheepish, uncomfortable and shy this time; it seems that a FITwatch is having an effect!

Protest Brings Pipeline to Shell: London. March 17, 2008

All-Irish environmental and social justice movement Gluaiseacht were in London for the weekend, and on St Patrick's Day itself gathered outside the Shell HQ at Waterloo, bringing with them a very large pipeline.

Over 150 people attended the “Creating a Climate of Fear: Counter-Terrorism and Punishment without Trial” public meeting hosted by the Campaign Against Criminalising Communities (CAMPACC) and the Centre for the Study of Terrorism (CFSOT) at the London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel, London, on 14 March. The meeting focused on a number of new, dangerous measures the government is seeking to introduce through the current Counter-Terrorism Bill granting more powers to the police and the judiciary to undermine civil liberties and human rights.

Dicky's circus that went to join Pinder's in France
The trucks destroyed belonged to Pinder's circus in France; that ADI exposed in 2003 after Dicky Chipperfield joined, following his trade of lions and tigers being driven out the UK. Pet shop and butcher also sabotaged in Mexico.
