Recently comments on various articles have accused activists of being grasses without any evidence whatsoever. This has the potential to alienate people from one another, create false rumours and create an atmosphere where new people are treated with suspicion.

Drax Coal Train Occupiers Plea Hearing - Climate Camp bail-breakers not punished

The 29 people who occupied and partially emptied a coal train on its way to Drax power station on 13 June appeared in court today (18 August 2008) to register their pleas. Bail conditions banning defendants from entering the Hoo peninsula were dropped.

Did we go merely to fill our faces with the vast and assorted range of delicious free food on offer? No!! A small group of pixies traveled along the M40 yesterday for a bit of painting and decorating. A fence was lovingly adorned with the words 'SWEATY BOLOX', with warped and dripping Olympic rings in the middle, ooozing yuk and dripping blood.

Here's some images and vids from the orange block march from the camp site to Kingsnorth station. As others have mentioned, the event really wasn't that fluffy, with one arrest plus another attempted arrest and baton attacks en route, plus many more arrests at the gates when demonstrators refused to obey a police helicopter dispersal order.

August demolition date set for Tinsley cooling towers
E.ON has today announced it will bring down the redundant Tinsley cooling towers this August Bank Holiday weekend.

The 250ft towers will be demolished in a controlled explosion in the early hours of Sunday 24th August.
