Concerned about Climate Change? Spring Into Action Now! - an audio piece

Folk from around the east midlands gathered in Nottingham for a week of workshops, discussion and action around the issue of climate change. The event was organised under the banner of 'Spring Into Action', and besides a lot of talking, the week ended with some succesful direct action. This is what some of the participants had to say... Bath Climate Camp evicted - BUT THE DEMOS ARE STILL HAPPENING!

Bath Climate Camp was today evicted by a stupidly large number of cops, part of a stupidly large polioce operation involving random stop and searches at the train station and on the streets - The reason for the eviction? Section 63 of the CRB - we were apparentley using the demo as a pretext for a free party!

Camp for climate action 2007: Events this week...

Preparations for the camp for climate action 2007 are underway! Come and get involved right here in Manchester with other people interested in taking action against the root causes of climate change. This week there will be a neighbourhood meeting for anyone who wants to get involved in the 2007 camp, as well as local actions and events(wednesday), and a film screening for those who want to find out more about the 2006 camp (friday).

MEP for Notts holds climate sceptic conference and calls for nuclear solutions to climate change

Roger Helmer is the Conservative MEP for Nottinghamshire. In 3 days time he will host a 'Counter-Consensual Climate Conference', at the European Parliament, in Brussels. The conference is hosting an array of climate skeptics as well as a screening of the documentary 'the Great Swindle', recently broadcasted by Channel 4 and higly criticised around the scientific world. Helmer is known to challenge the broadly adapted view of man-made climate change. While pointing out some of the positive consequeses of climate change, he also puts forward some ideas of how to deal with it.

Global Warming Solution. Will it get through bureaucracy to upper atmosphere?

My friend Joe Fox, who is a molecular microbiologist, invented a modality to absorb CO2 in the atmosphere and reverse the global warming problem in days. He is submitting his plan to www.VirginEarthChallenge.com. The Virgin Earth Challenge (Richard Branson-Al Gore) is a prize of $25m for whoever can demonstrate to the judges' satisfaction a commercially viable design which results in the removal of anthropogenic, atmospheric greenhouse gases so as to contribute materially to the stability of Earth’s climate. The only problem is that it will be 3 years before they look at all the plans and judge who will receive the prize money.
