UK's newest gas power station shut down and occupied

Early Monday morning around 30 activists shut down West Burton power station before climbing the chimneys to set up camp and occupy the flues in order to prevent it being switched on again. This action is to highlight the senselessness of a dash for gas in light of climate change and fuel poverty.

France: La ZAD prepares for another week of eviction NON A LA AEROPORT

In La ZAD, a zone occupied to stop the construction of a new airport for Nantes, the eviction looks set to continue from tomorrow. La Saulce is now evictable and it is possible the police will also target some of the places that require special forces to evict treehouses and such. Scottish Coal rail terminal currently shut down - again!

Two people are currently occupying the conveyor tower at Scottish Coal’s Ravenstruther Rail Terminal in South Lanarkshire to prevent coal from being loaded onto freight trains and being transported to Drax Coal Fired Power Station in Yorkshire. The action started at 5am this morning – a banner reading “Coal Kills” was unfurled on the conveyor tower. More updates to follow!
