It claims that "the latest weapon in the armoury of capitalism is a massive increase in the numbers of people migrating to Britain." Hello? Have they recently merged with the BNP?

Meeting called at uni after BNP article published in student paper

After a provocative article entitled 'Why you should vote for the BNP' appeared in a student newspaper at the University of Nottingham, following increased BNP actitivy in the Nottinghamshire area (including a student at the University standing as a BNP candidate in the recent election), concerned students have organised an Anti-Fascist meeting:

On Wednesday 30th November, 7-9pm, room C50, Portland Building, Nottinghamshire University.

Claire Taylor from the School of History on talk on 'Why no platform for fascists'. Other talks will include: Pete Radcliff from Notts Socialist Green Unity Forum on 'What is fascism and Post WW2 fascism?' and someone from Notts Anti Fascist Alliance (NAFA) on present anti fascist campaigns in the Nottinghamshire area. The evening is organised by Nottingham University Peace Movement (NSPM) and the Lenton Anarchist Forum.

Home Office in Glasgow locked down - 3 arrests

21 Nov 05: Once again the Home Office Immigration offices in Glasgow have been closed down by protesters. Earlier this morning 40 people gathered outside the building and padlocked two of the gates. 3 protestors have been arrested. More details and photos to follow on imc scotland:

Hi, There's been quite a lot going on down here in Brighton over the past week or so after an Iranian guy called Amir - someone who attends the Migrant English Project at the Cowley Club - had his house raided at 6am in the morning last tuesday. He has subsequently been detained and is being threatened with deportation. He was fist taken to the local police station, then Harmondsworth detention centre, and he is now at Colmbrook detention centre.

Charter deportation flight to Angola

After 3 failed attempt at mass deporting Angolan men, women an children, the Home Office seems to have finally managed to convince the reluctant Angolan Embassy to sign travel documents. The human cargo was due to leave at 9.10, probably from Stansted, on a private plane.

New noborders forum set up

With a tightening of migratin policies in the UK, the slogan "no one is illegal" is gaining momentum [ manifesto]. Wide alliances of have demonstrated together in the course of this year, and noborder groups have been set up in several places in the UK.

A new noborders forum caters for people and groups who are of the opinion that "no one is illegal!" [ manifesto].

An open no one is illegal mailing list carries announcements for demos or interventions in the UK and sometimes calls or reports from international noborder events. It includes information about migration policies, their impacts and resistance against them.
