We are hostages of an oppressive anti-democratic regime
14-07-2008 16:44
Hereby, we address our call to the civil society in democratic Europe, especially from the Czech republic, to the free mass-media to help us in the justified and lawful effort of autoexilation in order for us to be able to activate as free human beings and as a perfectly legal organization.End this injustice - stop the removal of Anselme Noumbiwa!

Another airline may be backing off carrying deporteesVirgin's lies about deportation flights
10-07-2008 00:57
Emails sent by Virgin employees to campaigners leading up to the proposed deportation of Kemi Ayinde (which was eventually cancelled, for the 2nd time) have left a trail of lies and deceit. Despite this Virgin's PR machine manages to spin the story in its favour and get them hailed as the hero of the hour in the Daily Mirror.Eat the G8 in Iceland!

Inside the IOM Birmingham conference
09-07-2008 12:42
After leafleting the delegates and staff and doing a banner drop at the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) 'conference' in Birmingham on June 25th (see here), my fellow protesters left for work, leaving me alone to the boring presentations at the four-star hotel of Marriott. It is not very usual for activists to get to attend such events and I did get sick of it all after the first session. But what I heard and read is probably worth a report.. to give campaigners a glimpse into the world of IOM that they wouldn't normally get through protests and actions.

Was told after the demo that this had also been a Freedom to Protest action. Which suited quite well, given the amount of harassment given by police to all present, from the start. It feels like the objective is to discourage people from being politically active by simply giving us an unbearable hard time.
