Sarkozy's migrant proposals,Shengen biometrics: French EU presidency & camps
30-05-2008 21:54
Yesterday the minister for EU affairs of the Spanish state revealed that they were sent last January, a 5 page proposal document by Sarkozy's presidency of France outlining his objectives for new anti-migrant laws to be implemented during the forthcoming French presidency of the EU. The substance of this confidential document has pretty much been explained by me in the last weeks in an article of the quirky humorous "Q&A" series. We may now put the recent anti-migrant laws and Romani purge of Berlusconi in its proper context that which I indicated in the "Q&A". Sarkozy wants biometric Shengen Information System 2, a "integration contract" for migrants and obligatory language lessons.Anti-racism Public meeting 31 May 2008, 1pm

Demo tomorrow @ Italian Consulate in defence of Roma and migrants
22-05-2008 14:15
Between the 14th and 15thof May, Roma camps in the Napoli area had to be evacuated and one camp was burned to the ground by mobs with links with the Camorra (Napoli's equivalent of Mafia). Police did not even try to stop the violence but helped the Roma evacuate. Mobs were threatening to lynch them.In the same week police made nearly 400 arrests of suspected 'illegal' immigrants in raids across the country.
