The Communist Party of the Philippines and the Khmer Rouge
For decades the Khmer Rouge regime has been exposed for its atrocities and genocides against its own people. Yet the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) nor its political arm, the National Democratic Front (NDF) nor any of its influenced and led organizations have issued any statement of condemnation. In fact in some of the statements issued by the CPP-NDF or interviews issued by its leaders, they seem to defend the Khmer Rouge. Stop Forced closure of University of East London (UEL)

Following the media and police hype about possible disruptions to the city, the University withdrew its support for the alternative summit.

Keep Alpha Mbodi and his family safe in Sheffield
Alpha Mbodi and his family are from eastern Congo. He fled DR Congo with his two sons in 2005, fearing the war there would claim the lives of his family. Unfortunately the family were unable to escape together and he was forced to leave his wife and young daughter behind. Alpha and his sons were accommodated in Sheffield by NASS shortly after their arrival in the UK.

A3 is the best size for the Square Mile map, so for those without A3 printers, there are two A4 versions you can print out and stick together with old-fashioned sticky tape. The map is downloadable as a JPEG or PDF in A4, A3 and split A3 versions, in black and white or colour.

Thousands of person seeking/refused asylum/overstayers/persons 'Sans Papiers' are currently being kept in immigration prisons (AKA Immigration Removal Centres) throughout the UK. They haven't committed a crime, but they can be imprisoned indefinitely. Many of the people detained have experienced torture, and their trauma is exacerbated by being detained. Seven of the IRCs are operated for profit by private companies. 36 people have been in immigration detention for more than two years, 72 more than 18 months, 128 more than one year.
