As a local, a democrat, and on the left politically, I was intrigued to find out more. De'Hondt formula & seat allocation in NW
I've done the "D'Hondt" formula calculations which are shown in the attached graphic, which allocates the first seat to the party with the highest vote, then second and subsequent seats in the same way except that where a party has been allocated a seat their original total is divided by 1 plus the number of seats already allocated to that party.
