The tragedy (for the entire world) is not that Bush is delusional, mentally unstable and intellectually challenged – that is well known. Rather, it is that he remains as commander in chief of the USA – placed in that position by commercial and other financial interests.The result for the world is war and innocent lives lost in favour of the accumulation of wealth for the few. That is the tragedy for the world, a tragedy of monumental proportions.

'Glorifying' terror plan revised - a victory for civil rights or part of the planA proposed new law which would have criminalised the "glorifying" of so-called terrorist activities has been revised following criticism. The revised proposal apparently means that somebody would have to "intend to incite" future terrorist acts in order to be convicted.
The mainstream media spin is that this change represents a 'Climb-down' by the Home Secretary Charles Clarke. However, I see things a little different. This is all 'double speak', just part of a well rehersed game we have seen over and over again to hoodwink us.

Over the last five years the indymedia open publishing concept has exploded throughout the internet, not just in the form of new indymedia collectives (of which there are now over 160) but also in the creation of many other non-affiliated 'citizen media' sites.The model has been adopted in different forms and evolved along with new communications technologies such as RSS feeds which transformed the personal journals of the Blogging world into a global syndication network for content producers of every sort.
Indymedia however remains mostly uneffected, or does it?
