'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' farce: the Brooks/Cameron texts we didn't see

16-06-2012 14:10

Audio
Only one SMS text was revealed at the Leveson Enquiry which decended into farce when Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samatha rang in to ‘remind him’ about the frequency of meetings with Ms. Brooks over lunch. All “hogwash, they’re all in the dirt on this”. Why has the whole Murdoch family not been arrested and charged? The big fish are being protected and the small fish are being thrown to the sharks at Leveson enquiry which is being stage managed in a US style for TV.

12-06-2012 17:06

Right wing intelligence agencies and police forces have been using violent agents provocateurs to reduce public support for the Left in many countries from the 19th Century to today, as I explain in this detailed article. UK’s soft policy towards Sri Lankan President criticised

12-06-2012 12:19

“Appearing at events such as [Queen Elizabeth's Diamond] Jubilee is a PR gift to heads of state with poor human rights records, giving the impression that they're just like any world leader. It also encourages a sense of impunity,” writes British journalist Joan Smith, criticizing the presence of Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations last week.

Why the Majority didn’t celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee?

11-06-2012 11:02

As we stand on the edge of the precipice of economic armageddon, the idea of a Jubilee to wipe away unpayable debt - largely existent as fictitious capital such as derivatives and financial dark matter - has been vocalised from varying quarters.
the economist Steve Keen has been talking about it:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01j5h51/Analysis_Steve_Keen_Why_Economics_Is_Bunk/
Plus there is this article by Steve Barrow published on The Guardian online last week:

A Poem for the Diamond Jubilee

02-06-2012 19:55

Elizabeth is Head of the Church, of the State and of the Army,
Contemplation of her powers is enough to drive you barmy.

As Commander in Chief of the Forces she can start and end a war,
But God forbid the latter – the top brass and she want more.

Mubarak' Life Sentence

02-06-2012 11:54

The sentence of life imprisonment for Mubark and the finding of many of the senior culprits of his regime, make clear that a revolution has not taken place in Egypt. The still in power regime has been soft on the dictator and prepares to be once again harsh on the ordinary citizens, under the guise of a democratic process.

The Houla Massacre

31-05-2012 15:36

Independent on Sunday 27th May 2012

The appalling massacre of 108 people, including 49 children, in Houla, Syria, dominated the Independent on Sunday’s latest front cover. Above a few short lines of commentary the banner headline read:

‘SYRIA: THE WORLD LOOKS THE OTHER WAY. WILL YOU?’

The text beneath observed:

‘There is, of course, supposed to be a ceasefire, which the brutal Assad regime simply ignores. And the international community? It just averts its gaze. Will you do the same? Or will the sickening fate of these innocent children make you very, very angry?’ (Independent on Sunday, May 27, 2012)

This explosive, evidence-based book is the most shocking, revealing, yet factual work written on the 1997 Paris car crash that took the lives of Princess Diana and her lover Dodi Fayed. In 'Diana Inquest: Who Killed Princess Diana?' investigative writer John Morgan reveals that the assassination of Princess Diana was carried out by the British intelligence agency, MI6, on orders from senior members of the British royal family.

Finalists of Private Healthcare Award Ceremony Raise Glasses with Lords and MPs

28-05-2012 08:37

An annual award ceremony, promoting the ‘excellence’ and ‘innovation’ of the independent healthcare sector is taking place in London, Thursday, the 31st of May. However, on close inspection, the finalists of this year’s event are notable for their connections to our so-called public servants, many of whom played some part in passing the Health and Social Care bill into an Act.
