First Females Islamic Judges Inaugurated in Palestine

For the first time in the history of Palestine, two women were appointed as judges to the Islamic Sharia court in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Ramallah. President Mahmoud Abbas accepted the appointment of the two female judges among 11 judges appointed to the Sharia Courts in the West Bank, after each woman successfully passed two competitive judicial exams held in Ramallah.

Unable to attend the Viva Palestina convoy send-off in London, I watched video footage of the occasion with tears in my eyes.

Here at last were people of courage and moral backbone... a dying breed in Britain, I had thought. How easily they put our leaders to shame.

PA calls for DIME bombs to be tried as war crime

After several doctor's reports of unusual wounds and over 500 amputations in the recent war in Gaza, the Palestinian Authority has accused Israel of using and testing new, horrific weapons, including DIME bombs, and has urged the International Criminal Court in The Hague to try Israel for the use of these weapons as war crimes.

Now that Israel has entered Gaza, the response from much of the world’s press has been totally predictable. Israel is called a nation of terrorists and mass murderers, and it is claimed that Israel is being far too disproportionate in its response. Demands for an immediate withdrawal, along with expectations that Israel grovels in remorse are becoming commonplace.
