Solidarity picket of Bristol prison – Saturday 21 March at 3pm
This event is an act of solidarity with all the EDO Decommissioners awaiting trial, but especially the 2 defendants remanded in prison since January 17 2009. Of these 2, one Robert Alford remains in HMP Lewes in Brighton, whilst the other Elija (James) Smith), is now held at HMP Bristol.

Police Raid 3 Houses Of Palestine Supporters In Swansea

Three houses of Palestinian supporters were raided yesterday morning and two people were arrested on suspicion of 'conspiring to commit racially aggravated criminal damage', the third person was not at home. Police seized three computers and papers relating Palestine and Israel. The 3 are outraged at the racist slur implied by the charge.

Evening Mail’s ‘Stirrer’ on Gaza: Inhumanity and Double-Standards

The recent articles of the Birmingham Evening Mail’s commentator “The Stirrer”, aka Adrian Goldberg, are quite peculiar in their timing. It seems that something has stirred “The Stirrer” into writing seemingly unsolicited pseudo-propaganda pieces for the Israeli government.

Newcastle Students Occupy!!!

Students at Newcastle University have occupied the fine arts lecture theatre in solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine. 25 students took the room and informed the University management who have sent a senior manager to start 'neigotations' which have resulted in the occuption entrying its first night with no clear resolution, as yet.

Viva Palestina: The convoy expects to cross into Gaza today

The convoy has started to move out of the two car parks in Al Arish and onto the road to Rafah. At 7.55 (GMT) George's party reported that the first of the two car parks was now almost empty. It took 90 minutes for all the vehicles to leave. They were waiting for the second group of vehicles to get on the road. George intended his vehicle to be the last to leave - to ensure the safe departure of the entire convoy.
