Critcal Mass is a regular event. The meeting point in Nottingham is the Savoy cinema on Derby Road in Lenton, on the last Friday of every month now at 5.30pm. It is becoming a more popular event with many more riders turning out each time ..... This time, we headed off into the city centre, via 'The Park' [to annoy the rich folks living there :-) ] and Castle Boulevard. We had a sound system trailer on tow, with some chunes to peddle to.

Bypass protesters face eviction day

ENVIRONMENT REPORTER

SHERIFF officers were today preparing to move in to evict bypass protesters living in trees in Dalkeith Park.

The showdown comes after the group, fighting against the felling of trees to make way for a £30 million A68 bypass, refused to leave the treetops despite being served an eviction notice.

An eviction hearing was due to take place at Edinburgh Sheriff Court this morning, with the sheriff officers preparing to move in later in the day.

Protesters pressure Environment Agency to take action on incinerator

Incinerators make me sick!

At 8am this morning 30 campaigners from NAIL protested outside the Environment Agencies offices on Scarrington Road, off Ladybay Bridge. We greeted the employees of the EA as they arrived for work, we handed them flyers, waved banners and placards and delivered them a letter.

We are demanding action to be taken over the highly polluting, emission breaching, cancer causing incinerator, which has had 27 known pollution breaches over the past 4 years.

Dalkeith Country Park under serious threat

Tree-felling has begun at Dalkeith Country Park in Midlothian, Scotland (just south of Edinburgh's City Bypass).
The protest site was issued a 48 hour notice for eviction today.
More people and support is urgently needed!
