Tens of thousands of people turned out, of all ages and from all walks of life, to express their concern over the vast, impending problem facing us all - climate change.

Genetically Modified Animals

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just moved a step closer to allowing companies to create genetically engineered animals. The FDA is proposing to allow the creation of animals that will be used to produce medicine, organs for transplant, meat or genetically engineered pets; and experiment subjects.

last week the law lords gave judgement on the legality of critical mass. they unanimously concluded that it is a 'commonly or customarily held procession', and is therefore exempt from the terms of the public order act requiring 'organisers' to notify police of the route beforehand. a day or two later, around 200 cyclists celebrated the decision on a cold damp november night in london

In Wrexham town centre this morning, the local Freeconomy group held a Sock (FREE) Shop - that's socks for free, not a shop free of socks or even freeing Sock. Hundreds of pairs of warm socks were distributed in subzero temperatures to people with cold feet - and hands - along with leaflets explaining what Freeconomy Wrexham does and inviting people to get involved in the happy world of giving and sharing.
