60 cyclists (definitely more than the 30 originally reported - check the film) in protest at the launch of eurostar - st pancras last week. protest about poor parking facilities, poor local cycle routes and planning, and poor arrangements for cycle carriage on eurostar.

Most activists have sat around a camp fire at some point, or heated a kettle on a gas camp stove, or lit a burner. This is damaging our health and our environment. Wood smoke stays chemically active in the body 40 times longer than tobacco, and solid fuel particulates kill over 2 million people each year in the developing world. Any stove uses less fuel and produces less pollutants for the same amount of energy compared to an open fire. A properly designed stove uses up to 80 less fuel and produces a fraction of the pollutants.

around 30 cyclists met at 8.30 this morning for the opening of the new eurostar terminal at st pancras station, london
they were highlighting the poor facilities and planning for bikes in contrast with the much-publicised claims of carbon-neutral travel to paris
the st pancras opening was also targetted by a greenpeace action against the third runway at heathrow
