You have most likely never heard of the 'Stern Review', a 700 page document that discusses the effect of climate change and global warming on the world economy which was published 18 months ago in Europe, and shook the establishment with its stark predictions of economic havoc that will be the result of climate change around the world.(1) He was widely criticised for painting such a grim picture of the future.

Well guess what, he has changed his tune.

Orang-utans protest at Unilever's HQ and Factory

Greenpeace folk dressed as Orang-utans have climbed all over Unilever's London HQ and Merseyside factory to tell the company to stop destroying rainforests for palm oil. Palm oil is used in products like Dove and Persil, and the companies Unilever buys from are destroying valuable rainforest and peatland areas - bad news not only for the millions of people who depend on them for their way of life and endangered species such as the orang-utan, but also for the global climate.

Founder of Saving Iceland Accused by Icelandic Police

On Monday 21st April 2008 Saving Iceland Founder, Olafur Pall Sigurdson,
will appear before the District Court of East Iceland charged with
property damage. The charge relates to an incident at Snæfell Mountain
protest camp in the end of July 2006, when a police 4x4 was deliberately
driven into Sigurdsson at a potentially fatal speed.

Beekeepers report colony collapse,but 100O organic Honey Bees keepers in N.America say theirs are doing well.Farmers need to stop using pesticides,gm etc & go as organic as possible to keep pollinate of crops going & save soil structure from chemicals. Defra needs encouraging to support Organic honey bee keepers & we all need to keep nettles & other beefriendly plants asap otherwise crops could be severley effected

Squatted Community Garden Reopened in Reading as Part of Days of Action!

On Sat 12th April, actions took place across the world in defence of squats and free spaces. In Reading, anti-capitalists managed to re-open Common Ground squatted community garden for the day, with a community BBQ and music show, despite a year of struggle with the authorities for control of the space.
