as far as i am aware.. passports are soon to be phased out.. a matter of days... and these kinds of technology are planned for broadscale introduction.. everything from packaging and credit to identity and tracking. personally i think it could work in tha stores but people deserve more choice!

My aim in this article is to present some hypotheses on issues of strategy for anti-capitalist emancipatory movements. The idea is to rethink the conditions for an effective politics, with the capacity to radically change the society we live in. Even if I will not have the space to analyze concrete cases, these reflections are not a purely "theoretical" endeavor, but spring from the observation of a series of movements I had the chance to be part of -the movement of neighbor's assemblies in Argentina, some processes of the World Social Forum, and other global networks- or that I followed closely in the past years -the piquetero (unemployed) movement also in Argentina, and the Zapatistas in Mexico.

The employment insurance program needs to be more accessible, minimum wages don't meet basic needs, and homelessness and inadequate housing amount to a "national emergency," says the UN body's report from Geneva. ..."Minimum wages in all provinces," the UN report said, "are insufficient to enable workers and their families to enjoy a decent standard of living." About 51 per cent of people using food banks, it also said, are receiving inadequate social insurance benefits.

The lies told by the East End Advertiser and other corporate media in relation to the Crossrail plans prior to the local elections on behalf of Labour have now been exposed. The Brick Lane area is and remains under threat from the Crossrail plans as it is the only area to continue being a target for tunnel alignments and a harmful ventilation and intervention shaft. On Tuesday May 23, a Crossrail committee of MPs will come to Brick Lane to see the site after 12pm.
