York Calls for Debt Cancellation for Haiti
30-01-2010 17:44
Around 30 York residents assembled at the city's Parliament Street Fountain, on the busy "Residents Weekend", to call for Haiti's debt to be cancelled and to denounce the imperialism and distaster-capitalism that have marred aid efforts so far, and threaten Haiti with centuries more suffering. Over a hundred passers by signed petitions, and the protest received local media coverage, raising the need for long-term politicaland systemic chance alongside the excellent short-term aid donations that have marked a public outpouring of concern.Journalists paid by UK government to promote chinese goods

Ghana and Afrika trapped by IMF/World Bank
27-01-2010 14:55
Contrary to what is written in the Westn racist press about corrupt Afrikan politicians "mis-managing" their countries, it is rather the draconian and vile policies of the Western owned IMF/World Bank that IS responsible for Afrika's woes by imposing bad policies like SAP's HIPC that have crippled Afrikan economies and made them the basket case of the world.More Profits For McMurder

Letters from Haiti
19-01-2010 03:31
We all have a desire to help the people of Haiti in any way that we can. Many of us have donated money. Some of us are volunteering.Over at Delaware Liberal, we have a frequent commenter, Joanne Christian, who used an already scheduled trip to the Dominican Republic for vacation to volunteer at a 20 bed hospital in Santo Domingo that was helping 2,000 Haitian victims. At some point during her work, she decided that she should get some names of these people so that their family will know that they got out, although there is a likelihood that some of the people here have died of their injuries, or soon will.
