EDL blows its cover and reveal its anti-trades union & anti-working class agenda

29-03-2010 21:28

The EDL show their hatred of trades unions and the working class having a voice
Remember how the EDL pretend they are not a far right quasi-fascist organisation? How they say they are focused only on ‘militant Islam’ and are not against all Muslims, or racist against all Asian people? Well, we have already proved that the EDL are racist (see post below), and their are plenty of photo’s of neo-nazis attending their rallies.

Now, however they have blown their cover, and have revealed their hatred of Britain’s trades unions and working class movements. This has been made apparent in a shocking anti-trades union ‘red-baiting’ frenzy that has appeared on the front page of their website. This shows the real agenda of the EDL and their millionaire puppeteers – to drive working class organisations out of British political life.

Notts County Unison: Interview

24-03-2010 19:41

In October last year, Notts County Council announced a series of changes to the terms and conditions of staff. These were very controversial and preceded the announcement of the details of the council's budget which was widely unpopular.

On Friday March 19, Notts County Unison announced the results of a ballot for industrial action short of strike against the changes. I interviewed branch organiser Mike Scott to try and understand the background to the action and what's proposed.

Why is there popular protest in Venezuela?

23-03-2010 21:34

* For the benefit of those who find themselves surprised or disconcerted by the generalised decline of conditions in Venezuela, as well as the increase in popular struggle (2,893 street demonstrations between October 2008-September 2009; compared with 1,763 in the same period in 2007-08) – either because they are unaware of the situation here, they are based abroad, or because they always accept the official version of events – we expound below on some factors which contribute to social conflicts here.

22-03-2010 18:00

A1. Nevertheless, HELLO!
Dateline: Heathrow Airport, London, UK, 06:15-12:15, Sat 20 Mar 10 – In the first major UK industrial dispute of 2010, the British Airways bosses, led by Willie "The Slasher" Walsh, take on the might of Unite the Union, and specifically the cabin crew's section called BASSA: the British Airlines Stewards and Stewardesses Association. The actions of Walsh & Co. may display nothing but contempt for the folk they regard as nothing more than trolly dollies, but the high spirits of the women, men and children on the pickets and at the Strike Support Rally showed they can give as good as they get, verbally and visually.

Election Meltdown

20-03-2010 16:35

Election Meltdown is gearing up for action in this sham election.
The politicians for sale at Westminster have no plans for our future. We need to take it into our hands.
We don't see any choice on offer except between bankers, bankers and more bankers, between capitalism, capitalism and more capitalism. We demand an equal and accountable voice for all, but we don't see any prospect of democratic representation by politicians who are in the pockets of corporate vested interests.
Right now we live under a dictatorship of the rich, a tiny minority hogging the world’s resources, who make all the decisions about the planet and our future to satisfy their greed. It’s time for democracy to dictate back to the rich!
So all of us who are fed up and disgusted, cry
DEATH TO THE ELECTION!
Vote for a hung parliament!
Let's blow one big raspberry at the whole election charade on Mayday, taking over Parliament Square for a popular carnival on Saturday May 1st.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will be galloping back from four corners, dragging the carcasses of the four politicans chosen by the people to be hanged!
Then we will plant the People's Tree where a People's Assembly will camp and convene throughout the sham election period.
