Is currently detained in Campsfield House IRC and due to be forcibly removed from the UK on Friday 21st August on Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET701 at 21:35 to Addis Ababa then ET8312 To Brazzaville Congo.

What can be learned from the occupation of Vestas?

The 19-day occupation of the Vestas wind turbine factory on the Isle of Wight ended August 7, after its Danish owners secured a court order allowing them to repossess the plant. The six remaining workers left the plant after the eviction notice was served. On August 12, dismissal notices were sent to all the employees, confirming the closure of two sites in the Isle of Wight and Southampton.

Back the All Out Strike in Stoke

Since 11 August just over 100 workers in the inward Stoke office have been
taking all out continuous strike action in defence of jobs and national agreements.
For over two years the branch has been fighting against the transfer of its work to the Mail Centre in Wolverhampton.

Our reporter tried to run, and told them that he was a reporter for Radio Progreso. It was then that we heard his cries, and the blows that our reporter was receiving.
The transmission from our reporter was abruptly suspended."

A day to remember in Codnor as anti-fascists drown out the BNP’s festival of rac

People from Oxford helped to peacefully but determinedly occupy one of the roads leading to the BNP's festival of hate for 5 hours on Saturday in Codnor, Derbyshire in spite of police efforts to clear the road and one very weak attempt by a group of BNP thugs to get through - the rest kept there distance and eventually turned back. Never in the history of the 20-21st Century has an economic crisis caused so much loss to so many workers, employees, small businesses, farmers and professionals with so little large-scale public protest.

Staff vow to continue fighting redundancies at Manchester College

Teachers and crèche workers at Manchester College have vowed to fight compulsory redundancies that management are attempting to enforce. Union activists say that the losses will mean a cut in course provision and teaching time, and a further burden put on already overstretched staff. The crèche closure will obviously make things more difficult for staff and students with small children as well.

After being on the roof for eleven nights, rooftop protesters will descend from the Vestas factory in East Cowes tomorrow morning (Friday) at 11am. They will then take the protest to the local MP Andrew Turner’s constituency office in Newport.
