The University of Nottingham was recently voted the Number 1 "Most Vegetarian-Friendly UK University," in a poll conducted by Peta2, the youth wing of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). In achieving first place, Nottingham beat Glasgow University, which has Vegan Society accreditation, into second place.
According to Peta2, the university has been "working alongside Vegsoc – Nottingham University Vegetarian and Vegan Society." Alex Claridge, the society's social security was kind enough to answer a few questions about what the group have actually been doing.

Antispeciesists claim responsibility for breaking police lines at the SHAC march against Novartis headquarters in Horsham, West Sussex. Many barriers were left broken and seperated after a long battle with police, aided by a minutes silence for the animals who are suffer from this speciesist war. The MRC are holding a "meet and greet" this Saturday at the Somers Town community Centre 150 Ossuslton street NW1 -nearest tube / rail St Pancras /Kings Cross / Euston.Protest against the "world's largest ever, high level, virus containment facility and animal testing lab" being built on a Camden council estate.
Protest - This Saturday betwwen 9am - 1pm against MRC.
