Wickham animal labs GUILTY of gross animal abuse

After an undercover investigation by the BUAV last year and a truely pathetic investigation by the government (the report has been delayed for months due to "the need to assess the impact on the community" apparently!!) Wickham labs has been found guilty of breaching it's animal testing licence.

The Buttermarket in Hereford are selling real rabbit fur cat toys, please contact the local manager for market fairs and street trading with complaints stating that these items are morally offensive (there is a bye law regarding Hereford market that prohibits the sale of morally offensive items).

Wrexham Public Reject Badger Cull

No badger cull
Braving near freezing temperatures on Saturday (27th November), town centre shoppers in Wrexham showed overwhelming opposition to the badger cull proposed by the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG). For the second time this month, hundreds of people in Wrexham signed letters of objection in response to the WAG’s consultation on their proposed cull of badgers in Pembrokeshire. Saturday’s event was one of over 500 taking place all over Wales and England during a “National Day of Action for Badgers” organised by national campaign group Viva! (1) reflecting the overwhelming revulsion at the idea of mass killing of a legally protected animal.

Energy giant EDF Energy has been blasted for breaching conservation guidelines and forcing a colony of badgers off land earmarked for controversial new nuclear power stations at Hinkley Point in north Somerset. Environmentalists warn that future corner-cutting could put lives at risk if construction of the two new reactors gets the green light.

This information is filtered and combined into a single RSS feed which is automatically updated every half hour and made available to anyone who wants too keep up with news on animal rights across the UK.
