Charlie Sargent Interview

11-12-2013 18:31

The following is a genuine interview with Charlie (Paul) Sargent of the failed Nazi Combat 18 gang who stabbed a ‘racial comrade’ to death and received a very long prison sentence, the naughty boy! It took place over several weeks on Facebook (home of digital fascism). No money was exchanged but a lot of insults were.

Cops Off Campus protest at Nottingham University

11-12-2013 16:55

About 40 people, students and non-students, protested outside the Trent Building on Nottingham University's lakeside campus today. They were there in solidarity with the students in London who've been beaten and arrested over the past week by the metropolitan police.

The ULU students in London initiated a sit-in last week with a number of demands. They were there partly because of threats to the funding of the union and partly in sympathy with the cleaners and other casualised workers at the university who are struggling for better conditions and the recognition of their union. They are also concerned about the commercialisation of the university. All of these issues should be familiar to current Nottingham staff, students and alumni. Last Wednesday the University of London management gave the nod to the police, who violently evicted the occupation and assaulted many students inside and outside the building.

Poster - Some Anarchist Attacks in Bristol

11-12-2013 11:09

This list of actions over the last few years around Bristol has been complied to show that successful strikes against the system are not only possible, but are being regularly
carried out. Even lockdown UK with its surveillance and control has weak points and opportunities – we're only as pacified as we let ourselves be! For sure there's much more happening than these “claimed” actions, as well as many different forms of struggle against authority.

The common thread in these actions is direct attack targeting the many forms of
domination, in the age-old struggle for freedom. Beyond that, the motivations and analysis of the individuals and groups behind them are varied. For more info on such actions and others across the world, see

My Misdemeanors for Mandela

10-12-2013 22:09

It’s too late for Mandela to apologize now, and I suppose we can use him as a good example of the proverb: “All Power Corrupts”, but there was a time when I was a great fan back in the early eighties when he was still in prison, and I raised my voice with those demanding his release and for the overthrow of the obscene apartheid regime in South Africa.

on the use value of psychology in current Kiev upsurge in fascism

10-12-2013 09:50

This post is a direct news-related reaction to the discussion started at
 https://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2013/12/514114.html

Two tendencies of Western EUropean and US discussions do not seem to be terribly helpful in our current fight against the fascistic upsurge in Kiev:
- seeing the East as something far apart and just catastrophic and
-assuming that desturbed minds are on their way just where corporate media choose to show them these days: with folks close to Kiev working classes

Mind, that psychology, as most beople know and practice it is still a distincltly ruling class ideology, especially its "textbook" vulgarisations. Bourgeois psychology wants to keep you normal, average consumer, average subject, average wage earner (just keep your indymedia.uk contributions NORMAL). This is completely detached from social reality, a new religion for the toiling class. Hunting for profits in the upper strata of today's European "business community" means asserting your strategy in a bonfire of highly and cynically crazy macho individuals.

Solidarity demo with Russian LGBTQ activist facing deportation

09-12-2013 18:08

A crowd of more than 150 people assembled around the UKBA offices in London Bridge. We spoke to Ira to show her how much support there is for her and others in Yarl’s Wood. Almost £100 was raised to be passed on to other detainees for phone credit as a lot of them are completely isolated. If you would like to donate online for detainees in Yarl’s Wood or to the campaign please send a message via the Irina Must Stay facebook. We are thinking of holding another demo on Saturday 14th Dec at the Home Office or Yarl’s Wood – please follow the twitter @irinamuststay to keep updated. Thanks for your support!

The Nuclear Menace: Iran? Are You Serious? Or Delirious?

08-12-2013 11:36

Daily Telegraph, 27 February 2013
While alleged representatives of American democracy foam at the mouth over the fictional threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon, the real world existence of thousands of such weapons passes almost without notice. But that’s only in the eyes, ears and forcibly emptied minds of many western consumer-citizens, occupied with going into debt for the holy days of shopping and left with little time to contemplate material reality, especially since it is rarely presented to them in an individually understandable and socially coherent form.
