UKBA did not try to get a deportation coach past protestors at Harmondsworth and Colnbrook migration prisons today. News is coming in of many successful injunctions throughout the day (no number confirmed yet) to get individuals off the flight. Protesters are gathered (since 10am), Tuesday 23rd October, Harmondsworth & Colnbrook detention centres near Heathrow, to prevent the departure of vehicles transporting detainees due to be deported back to Sri Lanka today!Updates on:
http://stopdeportations.wordpress.com/ 3 attempts to deport people to Sri Lanka have previously been disrupted by a combination of legal action & direct action at the detention centres, with coaches physically stopped from leaving while lawyers won final-hour injunctions in court. During the last charter on 19th September, a person locked himself to the coach surrounded by supporters, holding it up for hours while 35 people gained injunctions stopping their deportations throughout the afternoon.

To take a step back – House Of Brag (HoB) is a small collective of idealistic queers and allies seeking to create a non-commercial space for queer people and activists to organise, network and socialise. A week and a half ago, we squatted a long-term abandoned council-owned building in South-Central London and opened up The London Queer Social Centre with a cafe, free-shop, work-shop, stage, library and events spaces – all free to use for anybody. For context, it may be worth making clear that we have not had any late or loud parties or done anything that could be considered anti-social or a disturbance in any way.
