the diggers2012 have identified a forgotten area of the windsor great park with abandoned farm buildings.
to show an alternative to our "system of crisis", the group plan to grow food, live sustainably and restore and build structures in a responsible way.
they are calling for the right for everyone to make use of otherwise disused land to live on in a sustainable way, free of febt and rent.
they had planned and publicised journey, starting from the long-established syon lane community allotment yesterday, camping overnight, and aiming to take over the disused land this afternoon.
at the start of their adventure yetsreday, thames valley police arrived with two high court injunctions relating to the whole of the great windsor park and also identifying other smaller areas of crown estate in the vicinity.
the police admitted they cannot lawfully prevent the potential trespass from going ahead, without a warant from the high court for the breach of the court order, but they are escorting the group, who at midday today are just a few miles from their target. the main group from syon numbered 20, but a few more have just joined and others are expected to meet up earlier.
if you are interested in the project and wish to become involved, look at their website and get in touch. all committed people are welcome. see on the website what you will need to bring etc.

Brighton vs Casuals
10-06-2012 10:17
As somebody who was in Brighton on June 2nd when the Casuals materialised for their revenge trip I found the following to be a more realistic depiction of events than some of the wild exaggeration doing the rounds. It won't pay in the end to make up a load of macho bollocks - it makes the EDL look stupid and it won't do us any favours.UK Bilderberg participants

A group of Palestinian activists demonstrated in London today outside of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in support of Mahmoud Sarsak, the 25-year-old Gazan footballer detained by Israel for almost three years without charge.
Today marks his 83rd day of hunger strike and there are fears his life is in imminent danger. He has survived for two weeks longer than IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands – who the same course of action to highlight internment in Northern Ireland during the Troubles.
Sarsak is the only individual detained under the Unlawful Combatant Law, which allows Israel to detain suspects without charge for up to six months, renewable as deemed necessary. Another Israeli tool, called administrative detention, was the centre of an agreement reached on 14 May after interventions by, among others, Middle East Peace Quartet spokesman Tony Blair. Following a mass hunger strike of an estimated 2000 Palestinians prisoners, Israel gave significant concessions, but Sarsak's case was not covered by the agreement.
On Wednesday, a doctor from the organisation Physician for Human Rights - Israel (PHR-I) visited him in the prison for the first time, after the group petitioned an Israeli court for access. The doctor reported that Sarsak – who has lost 28 kg and now weighs 51 - was at 'immediate risk of death' and urged his hospitalisation.
According to the local agency Ma'an, on Thursday the prisoner was brought to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, that however did not find necessary to admit him.
As his health continues to deteriorate, demonstrations take place every day in different cities. Today, in London, around 10 protesters from Palestine Place - a recently reclaimed space in Central London hosting a pro-Palestine festival – demonstrated in front of the DCMS building just off Trafalgar Square. In order to raise the pressure on the government, the activists encouraged passers-by to petition government over Sarsak's detention. A large banner also called for Israel to be stripped of hosting the UEFA Under 21 finals.
Yael Khan, an activists, said: “People in Gaza are mad for football, they play it everywhere. Israel is trying to crush Palestinian pride, by jailing one of their most prominent footballers.”

Criminalising Children In The Care System
08-06-2012 15:23
Criminalising the behaviour of working class children and feeding them into the Criminal Justice System is a practice that has existed for generations and is now responsible for Britain having the unenviable reputation of Europe's worst jailer of children in terms of the numbers imprisoned.Call to an international mobilization for Genova 2001
