One astute observation made by a friend surrounding the US elections is that not voting for/being excited about Obama would be like not celebrating/being excited about Christmas. The analogy was actually more profound than intended, since not only are both events extravaganzas that bring people together, happen rarely, and make people feel good, they are also events whose founding principles have zero fundamental substance.Lakenheath 8 go to trial over 2 years later..

On the 2nd October 2006, 8 people cut the fence ran into the US military base and locked themselves to the gate of the Special Munitions Store at RAF Lakenheath in order to stop the use of those weapons and in order to secure evidence of War Crimes.
