Seventh Anniversary: The Objective of the War on Iraq was to Destroy the State

22-03-2010 11:15

The purpose of the war waged on Iraq was from the onset the destruction of the Iraqi state. But there is more: cultural cleansing, tolerating the looting of museums, the burning of libraries and the murder of academics was part of the war strategy.

State ending will certainly become established as a concept, alongside genocide and its derivatives, such as urbicide (destruction of cities), sociocide (destruction of social fabric) mnemocide (destruction of collective memory).

Flashback:How the forgotten city of Halabja became the launchpad for war on Iraq

16-03-2010 18:24

Tony Blair, George Bush and Jose Maria Aznar at the Azores Summit, 16 March 2003
When the Bush administration went to war with Iraq in March 2003, the centerpiece of its justification for war was weapons of mass destruction.

But its precise timing was driven, in large part, by the March 16 anniversary of the poison gas attack on the Iraqi Kurdish town of Halabja. On the fifth and twentieth anniversaries of these two tragic events, a study of the connection between them reveals a deliberate pattern of twisting and fabricating intelligence to meet policy objectives.

Never Mind the B*****s?

22-02-2010 18:00

I have been further arrested on two separate occasions for public expression of "bollocks" and "blair". Both cases were dropped on the date of trial under somewhat convenient circumstances, the CPS offering no evidence. The first case was dropped the week the Sex Pistols released their 3oth anniversay edition of the album "Never Mind the Bollocks - Here's the Sex Pistols". The second case was to be attended by Lady mary Warnock, picking up the torch of common sense from Professor Kingsley and QC John Mortimer who valiantly defended our right to use that Saxon Age old word of bollocks.
